Social enterprise

"Social enterprises are businesses set up to tackle a social or environmental need" - Social Enterprise Coalition

So does that make Green Minded a social enterprise, as a business set up to help organisations reduce their negative environmental and social impact? Yes, but it's more than that.

Green Minded believes it is unique in offering one day out of every five worked for free to the third sector, to enable them to access help to reduce their environmental impact that they may not have been able to afford to do otherwise.

We do not get grant funding, and we are not paid by someone else to do this, we just don't get paid for that day. Simple as that.

We are developing our links page to provide links to the websites of fellow green minded social enterprises and organisations, many of them local to where Green Minded is based.

We are also putting into writing our own sustainability aims to show that we can walk the talk - watch this space.

Green Minded is constantly looking for new ways to further it's own social and environmental aims in innovative ways. What does social enterprise mean to you? - please contact us to share your thoughts.
